Everything You Need to Know About the Breeding of Rebel and Barra
Breeding Australian Cattle Dogs (ACDs) is more than just a profession for us – it is a genuine passion and a matter of the heart. Rebel and Barra are not only our dogs but also the first representatives of a new, promising generation of Australian Cattle Dogs in Thailand – and perhaps soon in other Southeast Asian countries.
Our breeding philosophy is rooted in the long-standing belief that dogs are more than just pets – they are family members who enrich life.
Below, we would like to tell you everything important about the puppies from this breeding line and show you why choosing a puppy from this line may be the best decision for you and your family.
General Information
It’s always exciting to learn that our dogs are expecting puppies. Rebel, our loving power girl, is expecting approximately eight puppies with Barra, a charming, gentle, and balanced male.
We’re expecting a mix of colors, but one thing is certain – the distinctive characteristics of the Australian Cattle Dog breed will be present. The color range spans from blue to red to speckled coats. The genders of the puppies can’t be predicted at this stage, adding even more to the excitement and anticipation for the birth.
A Brief Profile of Rebel and Barra
Both come from long-established breeding lines emphasizing working ability and family friendliness. Rebel is a particularly agile female who has frequently worked on the farm. Barra, titled Australian Champion (CH.), impresses with his balanced temperament and calm yet alert nature. Together, they make the perfect team – and even better partners – to produce puppies that can thrive in active households, in the countryside, or as working herding dogs.
Our breeding focus is on working lines, but never at the expense of family suitability. We aim to breed dogs that are versatile and feel comfortable in every life situation. We’re deeply aware of both dogs’ big hearts and want to preserve their loving personalities.
Puppies from Rebel and Barra are expected to inherit the classic working traits of Australian Cattle Dogs and their warm, gentle temperaments. We hope they will carry the same special characteristics that make them perfect family dogs, just like their parents.
A Brief Introduction to Barra’s Pedigree
Rebel and Barra come from carefully selected lines known for their health, work ethic, and balanced nature. Rebel’s father, “Reel,” brings a strong working line known for stamina and obedience. Her mother, “Stare and Whisper,” an Australian Champion (CH.), comes from a highly intelligent line with a keen instinct and pronounced social behavior. These traits – ideal for breeding, sports, and family life – have been passed on to Rebel. Her show titles and success also underline her outward quality, emotional strength, and versatility.
Barra is the son of Boss, a strong, confident male with excellent composure. Boss has already won multiple “Best in Show” and “Runner-up Best in Show” titles at just three years old. Like a fine wine, he keeps getting better. At dog shows, judges often highlight how wonderful it is to evaluate a purebred Australian Cattle Dog that perfectly fits the standard. His mother, “Amber Moonshine,” contributes not only her stunning looks but also her keen sensitivity for humans and animals – traits that make Barra a particularly charming representative of his breed.
Amber Moonshine’s Awards
Throughout her career, Amber Moonshine has earned numerous titles and accolades that highlight her exceptional quality as an Australian Cattle Dog:
- International Champion (INT CH): Awarded to dogs with outstanding international show results.
- Croatian Champion (CR CH): Recognizes achievements at shows in Croatia.
- Montenegrin Champion (MNE CH): Reflects success in Montenegro.
- Slovenian Champion (SLO CH): Proves her exceptional performance in Slovenia.
- Australian Champion (AU CH): Confirms her excellence in her native Australia.
In addition to these champion titles, she has been awarded multiple Best in Show 2nd (BIS 2nd) placements, placing second among all dogs at a show. This is particularly notable, as it recognizes her quality within her breed and across all breeds.
Together, Rebel and Barra provide the best genetic foundation for healthy, stable, and hardworking puppies.
Important Details on Reservations and Timing
Excitement for a puppy from this breeding is tangible every day. The journey has already begun – "after one litter is before the next." And we sincerely hope you're already looking forward to the adorable little ones. The very first litter was born in April 2025, marking the start of this adventure, and more litters are, of course, planned.
We will display all future litter information on a dedicated section of our website.
Generally, puppies can be reserved before birth, which helps everyone involved to plan better. Puppies can also be reserved after birth – the process is simple and straightforward.
If you choose a puppy, we request a deposit to secure the reservation. This guarantees that your puppy will be available once it's old enough and ready to move to its new home. The remaining amount is due upon handover.
The Early Bird Catches the Worm
Due to the expected high demand, we will implement a waiting list for interested parties. This ensures everyone has a fair chance to secure a puppy from the litter. We also offer the opportunity to meet the puppies in advance—either at our farm in Nong Khai or, for those further away, via video call.
It's important to us that the puppy suits you, your family, and your lifestyle. We're not just looking for any home – we want them to grow up in loving environments that meet their needs and provide the right conditions.
Health and Care
Health is the foundation of any successful breeding program, and the well-being of our dogs is our top priority. Before they leave us, each puppy undergoes a thorough veterinary check-up to ensure optimal health. All puppies are dewormed, and additional treatments ensure they are parasite-free. They also receive all necessary vaccinations, including rabies and leptospirosis, documented in an international vaccination passport.

Early imprinting and socialization are among the most critical aspects of raising puppies. We make sure they are not only physically healthy but also emotionally prepared for life ahead. The puppies grow up in close contact with children and other animals and are exposed to everyday noises like vacuum cleaners, TVs, kitchen appliances, and typical sounds on a rural Thai farm.
This early socialization ensures the puppies can later easily integrate into a family environment. They learn early what living in a human setting means and develop confidence in new experiences.
Documents and Services We Provide
The puppies receive official pedigree papers, documenting their lineage and the quality of our breeding. These documents are a valuable resource for breeders and enthusiasts who care about the origins of their animals.
The puppies are vaccinated and microchipped according to international standards. Microchipping ensures a puppy can be quickly identified if lost.
The price includes all required vaccinations and the microchip. We've consciously decided not to include extras like collars or toys – instead, our focus is on health and breeding quality.
We believe the puppies’ early experiences with people and animals give them the best possible foundation for a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life.
Where to Find Us
Our breeding program is located in Nong Khai, a peaceful place in northeastern Thailand. Here, we provide the puppies with a natural and quiet environment where they can grow freely. Visitors are welcome to meet the puppies by appointment and see the quality of our breeding firsthand. Puppies are typically ready to move into their new homes at 10 to 12 weeks of age.
If in-person pickup isn't possible, we offer safe domestic and international shipping via experienced pet transport companies. We work with providers like DeparturePets.com.au and others who ensure the puppies reach their new homes safely and comfortably.
We’re happy to support you with the export process, especially if you're located outside Thailand.
Contact & Guidance – What We Offer

For first-time dog owners, especially, we’re here to support you every step of the way in making the right choice. Our support doesn’t end with the purchase!
We provide ongoing personal follow-up, helping ensure the puppy settles well into its new home. If you have questions or concerns after bringing your puppy home, we're always here for you.
Pricing and Contracts
The price for a puppy from Rebel and Barra’s line is determined individually and not listed publicly. We value transparency and fairness greatly, so a contract will be drafted before the sale that outlines all key information and agreements.
This contract covers legal matters and reflects our responsibility to the animals. It represents our commitment to building a trust-based, long-term connection between breeder, buyer, and dog.
If any health issues arise after purchase, we will take the puppy back. We want to ensure that every puppy lives a happy and healthy life in its new family. Our responsibility doesn’t end at handover—it truly begins then.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that every puppy goes to a safe, loving, and suitable home—a place where they are not only cared for but truly valued as family members. Our puppies are not “products”—they are little beings with feelings, needs, and a story—and we want every one of them to live a life full of warmth and joy.
